9/1/2023 0 Comments God eater aragamiSo, in the end, I think that God Eater and Code Vein are two different worlds that had different responses to the sudden appearance of the same creatures. While here we have the same threat, same world, actually on a behind the scenes while the producer said that weren't connected at all, Yuta Yamamoto(Creative Director) said "we really wanted to create a new property that felt different but share the same kind of game world". They don't even share the same monster design and most of the demons are nothing more than mythological creatures. The general lore is completely different. Like, in persona you have no demons, no summoning, nothing have are there. But Persona and SMT are not connected at all? Like every other Shin Megami Tensei and all the spin offs like Digital Devil Survivor. Honestly the people that are constantly trying to say that they are somehow connected beyond that(i.e same universe/alt timeline/prequel/etc.) are just being delusional at worst and blindly optimistic at best. So who knows if the devs would decided this will be a good PR move and come with "SURPRISE" with dlc content. Even if is separate universe or something like that, the connection is there. Originally posted by zartiavan:They claim to be unconnected. That they are going to use the exact same monsters and fluff surrounding them, use similar methods and what not for dealing with them but at the end of the day they are two different worlds not at all involved with each other, as you have laid out. Honestly I keep using the Persona and SMT example because I feel it best showcases what we should expect here. This is the most reasonable thing I've seen anyone say outside of flat out acknowledging what the devs have said and dropping the issue.(Although most of the responses I've gotten tend on the side of just insulting me, screaming "no" into the void, or "nuh-uh aragami exist fool") Not to mention that the Horror we see is clearly an Aragami. Those traits match the Aragami's abilities. She says they are nearly immune to conventional weaponry and have regenerative abilities just like Revenants. After one of the endings, Mia comments on the Horrors' abilities. However, I do believe the Horrors and the Aragami are the same type of creature. So I think they can't be in the same universe. They appeared over time, with no special name for the event, The God eaters were created to fight them, and we hear nothing about Revenants The Revenants were created to fight them, and we hear nothing about God EatersĪnd showed up with the Thorns of Judgement There's too much conflicting info for them to be in the same universe. Can't beat a quote from the devs so that should settle the matter, but let's keep going and see what happens. The people claiming otherwise seem to be ignorant of the dev streams and the statements given. So who knows if the devs would decided this will be a good PR move and come with "SURPRISE" with dlc content.Īs I made clear, the connection is there in the same way Persona and Shin Megami Tensei are connected, that being not at all beyond using similar lore(assets/monsters/mechanics/other general lore). The devs have already stated that they want Code Vein to be its own thing. Code Vein and God Eater take place in separate universes but use similar lore, exactly like the Persona and Shin Megami Tensei games.
